Terms of Service

1. Scope

These terms apply to the use of metin2-pserver.de, its Vote Rewards API and our Discord server. The provider is P42 Studio, Thies Bergenthal, Osterstraße 32, 26847 Detern (see Imprint).

2. Service

metin2-pserver.de is a free directory of Metin2 private servers run by third parties. We run none of the listed servers. We aim for constant availability but do not owe it; maintenance and development may limit the service at times.

3. Account

Some features (listing a server, reviews) need an account. Your details must be accurate and you keep your password secret. One account per person. We may suspend or delete accounts that break these terms.

4. Voting

You can vote for each server once every 12 hours. Any form of manipulation is prohibited, in particular:

  • votes by bots, scripts, automated browsers or click farms,
  • getting around the cooldown, e.g. with changing IP addresses, VPN or proxy networks, deleted cookies or several devices in order to vote more than once,
  • bought or traded votes.

In-game rewards for a regular vote through our Vote Rewards API are allowed. If we detect manipulation, we void the affected votes and may demote, unrank or remove the server that benefited.

5. Server listings

By listing a server you confirm that you run it or are authorised to list it and that all details are true. Prohibited in particular: malware in clients or downloads, misleading details (e.g. player counts, rates or launch dates), unlawful content and content that infringes third-party rights. Listings are reviewed before they go live; we may reject, edit or remove them.

You grant us a simple, free right to show the content you upload (texts, logos, banners, images, videos) on metin2-pserver.de, in our Discord, in banners and in posts promoting the listing, for as long as the listing exists.

6. Vote Rewards API

API keys are confidential and meant for your own server only. The API may only be used to check votes and reward players. Partner status requires a visible link to metin2-pserver.de on the server's front page. We may block keys or end partner status for misuse, excessive requests or a removed link.

7. Reviews

Reviews must be based on your own experience. Not allowed: insults, false statements of fact, advertising, links to other servers and reviews of your own server. Server operators may report reviews; we remove reviews that break these rules.

8. Content of listed servers

The operators of the listed servers alone are responsible for their servers, clients, downloads, shops and payments. We do not scan clients for malware; only download what you trust. Report violations to support@p42.studio.

9. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence we are only liable for breach of an essential obligation that makes use of the service possible in the first place and on which you may rely, limited to the typically foreseeable damage. Liability under the German Product Liability Act is unaffected.

10. Changes and governing law

We may change these terms when the site or the law changes; we announce material changes on the site. German law applies. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live remain unaffected.
